Thousands of football fans went ballistic in Algeria's 5 July 1962 Stadium in Algiers on Friday and into Saturday as Algeria defeated Senegal to win the Africa Cup of Nations final. Thousands of people can be seen waving Algerian flags and cheering as fireworks went off and flares can be seen illuminating the stands. Algeria beat Senegal with a deflected early goal by Baghdad Bounedjah, two minutes into the game. This is Algeria's first Africa Cup of Nations victory since 1990, and their second in total.
